Rural Iowa Homemade Bread Pudding

Tear the bread into small pieces and place into a greased casserole dish. Mix the butter, sugar, eggs, salt and cinnamon in medium bowl. Add the warm milk and mix well. Pour mixture over the bread pieces making sure all the bread pieces are wet. Bake at 350° for approximately 45 minutes or until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Place brown sugar, cinnamon and margarine in small sauce pan. Cook and stir on low heat until melted and mixed. Slowly add evaporated milk and simmer for a short time. Keep warm. Spoon the warm bread pudding into individual serving dishes and pour the brown sugar sauce over it.
