Ingredients
Directions
Slice the baguette at an angle into slices about 1/4 inch thick. Let the
bread dry out slightly. Melt butter and remove from heat. Add all of the
spices except the dill weed into the melted butter. Slice unpeeled tomatoes
into 1/8 inch slices and cut each slice into fourths. Slice the onion into
1/8 inch slices. Butter each piece of baguette with the butter mixture. Place
one
piece of tomato on top of the buttered side of the baguette. Lay a small
piece of onion next to the tomato on the buttered side of the bread.
Mix cheeses and sprinkle the cheese mixture on top of the vegetables. Sprinkle
with dill weed. Broil for 3-4 minutes or until brown on top and then place
in the oven at 250° until ready to serve. This dries the bread out more
and makes them very crunchy!
